
Realizing the importance of giving back to the community, STEM graduate students, Ph.D. candidates, and postdoctoral fellows at Vanderbilt University, Meharry Medical College, and Tennessee State University and Fisk University organized to promote science education in Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.
The Volunteer Scientist-in-the-Classroom Partnership (VSCP) Program promotes partnerships between middle school science teachers and scientist by partnering teachers with scientists who spend a minimum of two hours per month in the classroom assisting with hands-on science activities.
